Red Star Growers grow/import, pack and market fresh produce throughout the year. Below is a selection of vegetables we produce. At the bottom of the page is our product calendar so you can see which crops we grow and import.

Salad Onions

English season – April to October. Imported Season – November to March. Main varieties grown are White Lisbon, Eiffel, Green Banner, Baja Verde, Parade and Performer.

Lettuce

English season –May until October. The types grown are Frisee, Batavia and Cos.

Courgettes

English season – June to September. Main variety grown is Acceste.

Dwarf Beans

English season – July to September. Main varieties grown are Venice, Paulista and Parker.

Runner Beans

English season July to October. Varieties grown are Enorma (Red Flowered variety) and Snowie (white emergo variety).

Broad Beans

English season – May to September. The variety we grow is Witkiem Manita.

Peas

English season – June to September. Varieties grown are Avola, Ambassador and Summer Wood.

Purple Sprouting Brocolli

English season – September to May. Main varieties grown are Sante, Rudolf and Red Spear.

Calabrese

English season – June to November. Imported season – December to May. Varieties grown are Parthenon and Steel.

Tenderstem Brocolli

English season – June to October. The variety we grow is Inspiration.

Sprouts

English season August to April. Main varieties grown include Maximus and Helemus.

Spring Cabbage

English season – October to April. Varieties grown are Early Market and Master Green.

Asparagus

English season – April to June. Imported season – July to March. Main variety grown is Gijnlim.

Bunched Beetroot

English season – June to October. Imported season – November to May.
Varieties grown are Pablo and Boston.

Bunched Carrots

English season – June to October. Imported season – November to May. Variety grown is Napoli.

Leeks

English season – September to April. Imported season – July to August. Main varieties grown are Darwin and Galvani.
