STANDARDS
Red Star Growers aim is to provide its customers with high quality products, to help achieve this we ensure that our growers and Packhouse operate to high standards.
Farm Assurance
At Red Star Growers we ensure that all our growers operate to high standards ensuring that good farm practice methods are carried out, whilst maintaining efficiency and quality standards. The systems implemented by the farms are reviewed regularly and updated as necessary. External audits are carried out by the relevant audit bodies and our farms are required to meet the following standards:
Product Accreditation
Our Production site is fully accredited to the British Retail Standard having achieved higher level accreditation. This covers all aspects of processing, packing and despatch of finished product to our customers.
Socially Responsible Trading
Red Star Growers are fully supportive in establishing the principles of socially responsible trading ensuring all workers in the supply chain are treated fairly. Our production site is required to complete an annual self-assessment questionnaire on the “Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (SEDEX)” this is then followed up by a third party audit.
